This is a classic! It has a good story line, character development is OK supporting cast is outstanding. (any director that has Walter Brennan in his cast and knows to leave him alone and let him work gets my vote). Though presently known for his comedic roles, Leslie Nielsen plays his part flawlessly and provides Debbie Reynolds the perfect setup for her lead. She delivers the song "Tammy's in Love" with perfection, adding to the overall effect of the film, not to mention the success of the song on the charts. Simple, but effective, you walk away feeling good!!! A Classic to be enjoyed in a day when classics are no longer being made. This film, although simple, stands on its own.

I have seen this movie no less than 10 times and I still find it fun to watch. First things first....Leslie Nielson (Peter) was one of the most hansome men EVER. The crush Tammy had on him had a good basis. His was HANDSOME and hard working and had a fun personality. I loved the fact that he was so protective of this special girl who had lived such a sheltered life. It was humorous looking at things through her inexperienced and somewhat innocent eyes. Tammy's grandpa, Peters girlfriend Barbara, the maid, parents and aunt really round out the cast of characters. This movie will never lose its charm.
