ABSTRACT
New York City journalist Rowena Price, a muckraker angry over the spiking of her explosive piece on a fundamentalist Senator's closeted homosexual tendencies, is brought to the attention of her childhood friend's unsolved grisly murder. A bit of sleuthing reveals a recent tryst with high-powered advertising executive Harrison Hill; determined to finger him in her murder, Rowena poses as a temp to get a job at Hill's firm, plunging into a multi-layered web of conspiracies and deceit after she is hired and becomes an object of the married man's affections.
