The largest media conglomerate. Properties include Time and numerous other magazines, Warner Brothers Studio, HBO, America Online, etc. It was formed 1990 by the merger of Time, Inc. with Warner Communications. In 2001, Time Warner was acquired by AOL, becoming for a time the mouthful AOL Time Warner, reverting back to Time Warner in 2002. Spun off Time Warner Cable as an independent entity in 2009.
